Adriana Barreno, age 15, was last seen at Hempstead High School at around 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, according to Nassau County Police. She was reported missing that evening. Barreno is 5-foot-3 and 135 pounds, with long black hair, brown eyes, and brown glasses. She was last seen wearing black pants and a yellow/green sweatshirt. Ariya Shingler, age 14, was last seen leaving Hempstead High School at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, according to Nassau County Police. She was reported missing Wednesday afternoon. Shingler is 5-foot-3 and 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing tan pants, a black sweatshirt, a pink bonnet, and was carrying a black handbag. Wrestling Standout, 'Devoted' Father From Hempstead Killed In Shooting 'Lit Up Every Room' Support is building for the family of a young father and wrestling standout from Long Island who was killed in a shooting. Lee Mauras, age 22, originally from Hempstead, was shot at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in a parking lot in downtown Portland, Oregon, police told local station KATU. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities did not speculate on a possible motive for the shooting. No suspects had been arrested as of Tuesday, Oct. 8.
