Duo Accused In Attempted Bombing At Nassau County Government Building In Uniondale An attempted bombing at a Long Island government building has landed two men behind bars. The incident happened in Uniondale, at the Nassau County Department of Social Services building on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard, at around 2 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. Nassau County Police said a man placed propane tanks near the building and then threw lit flares toward them before running away.
