A Bergen County man who police accuse of threatening to kill Governor Phil Murphy was arrested in Florida, where authorities say he had a motorcycle, an SUV, and an RV — and a history of social media posts showing weapons.
Russ Semeran, 53, who allegedly has ties to Allendale and Mahwah, was taken into custody on Sunday, May 18, by the U.S. Marshals Task Force, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in Virginia in connection with the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in upstate New York.
Albany Police found Quadair Hoffler suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the city’s Pine Hills neighborhood, near Yates Street and South Lake Avenue, at around 1:40 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10.
Hoffler was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, as Daily Voice reported.

3rd Suspect Nabbed In Fatal Stabbing Of 24-Year-Old, Attack On 2nd Victim Near Area College
A Long Island man is accused in a stabbing attack near an Albany college that killed a 24-year-old man and injured a second victim.
Fabian Martinez-Reyes, 20, of Port Jefferson, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 26, by Albany Police and members of the US Marshals Task Force, the agency said.
It came months after emergency crews in Albany were called about a stabbing near Washington Avenue and Quail Street, one block from the UAlbany campus, at around 3:40 a.m. on June 3, 2024.
