Man Accused Of Stealing, Using Credit Cards In String Of Vehicle Break-Ins In Rensselaer A 34-year-old Albany man is facing numerous charges after being linked to a string of vehicle break-ins and stolen credit card use in the Capital Region, police said. The investigation into the incidents began on Friday, Dec. 13, when several vehicle break-ins were reported in the Rensselaer County town of Sand Lake, New York State Police announced on Thursday, Dec. 26.  Police found that various items, including credit cards, had been stolen. Remembering Matthew H. King: A Legacy Of Service And Brotherhood In Rensselaer County Family and friends are remembering a 38-year-old Capital Region man who died earlier this month. Senior Master Sgt Matthew H. King of Sand Lake in Rensselaer County died on Thursday, Dec. 5. According to his obituary, he was born August 17, 1986, in Albany, to David and Denise King.  Matt attended Averill Park schools, graduating in 2005 surrounded by lifelong friends.  When he was 18, he joined the New York Air National Guard, building another family with the 109th Airlift Wing. He graduated from Schenectady Community College with a degree in firefighting and later became …

Rensselaer County resident Joseph Dominy, of Sand Lake, pleaded guilty to assault in Rensselaer County Court on Friday, May 31.
