Uncle Sam Just Picked The Capital Region As THE Place To Develop America’s Chip Industry After years of advocacy, US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that an Albany County business has been selected as America’s first location for the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC), which will be supported by an up to $825 million federal investment. Schumer announced that Albany NanoTech had been selected on Thursday, Oct. 31.
