Inflatable Jump Bag Used To Save Woman From Bridge Over I-287 In Westchester
Thanks to a coordinated effort between first responders and police, as well as an inflatable jump bag, a woman was saved from a bridge over a highway in Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, July 29 just after 7 a.m., when Westchester County Police, the White Plains Fire Department, and White Plains Police were sent to help a distraught woman who was threatening to jump from the Anderson Hill Road bridge over Interstate 287 in White Plains. A large fire that began on the first floor of a Westchester home and quickly raced to the attic caused one resident to jump out of a third-floor window, injuring his ankle. IDs Released For Man Charged With DWI, Woman Killed In Westchester Pedestrian Crash
The identities of the 26-year-old man charged with driving while intoxicated and the woman killed in a crash across from the Westchester County Center in White Plains have been released. Glen Robinson, of Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford, was taken into custody by Westchester County Police at the crash scene on Saturday morning, Aug. 24.
