Storm Ida: How Much Rain Did You Get? A Look At Totals From Throughout Hudson Valley
There have now been 42 confirmed fatalities after Ida battered the Northeast with historic rainfall and flash flooding.
In New York City, more than 3 inches of rainfall fell in one hour in Central Park on Wednesday, Sept. 1, smashing the previous record.
Here is a look at some rainfall totals from throughout the Hudson Valley compiled on the day after, on Thursday, Sept. 2 by the National Weather Service.

Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Area
Thousands in the area have lost power as a storm system has brought heavy rain and wind gusts topping 50 mph to the Hudson Valley.
As of 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, Central Hudson was reporting 18 active outages that were impacting 1,035 customers: 624 in Ulster County, 180 in Dutchess, 125 in Columbia County, and 106 in Greene County.
A total of 2,678 of NYSEG’s 901,052 customers, including 1,229 in Dutchess, 420 in Sullivan, and 362 in Ulster, are without power.
Orange & Rockland Utilities were reporting 13 outages that were impacting 2,234 of its 303,406 customers.

Wind Storm Knocks Out Power In Area
Thousands across the Hudson Valley are without power as wind storms topping 55 mph rolled through the region downing power lines and toppling tree branches.
Utility crews from NYSEG, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and Central Hudson were each reporting hundreds of outages, impacting thousands of customers as of 2:35 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2.
