Some Police Services To Be Cut By Village In Hudson Valley Residents of a village in the region were informed of a police service cut only two days before it took effect. The change is taking place in Dutchess County. Man Nabbed For Stealing $1K In Merchandise From Local Vendor New York State Police troopers busted a man who allegedly stole more than $1,000 in merchandise from a Dutchess County vendor. An investigation into the stolen merchandise that was launched last year led to the arrest of Ellenville resident John Keelyn, 38, who allegedly stole from a vendor in Wappinger without paying for it. Keelyn was arrested this week and charged with a felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny. Following arraignment in the Village of Wappingers Falls Court, Keelyn was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail. Keelyn is due back in court on Tuesd…
