Man Wanted For Stealing $180K Nabbed At Taconic Parkway Work Zone
A man wanted for stealing $180,000 has been arrested during a traffic stop at a work zone in the area. Joshua C. Allen, 19, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 17 on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam County as a fugitive from justice out of Bossier, Louisiana, said State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Allen was stopped around 11:20 a.m., in a 2016 Nissan Altima for a vehicle and traffic law infraction committed in a work zone on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Putnam Valley, Hicks said. Man, Woman Not Using Crosswalk Before Being Hit By Car Prompts Police Warning In Area
A man and woman have been cited for not using the crosswalk after they were struck by a car on Christmas Eve night in the area. It happened at around 8:52 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24 in Ulster County on Market Street near the Post Office in Saugerties. Garbage Truck Driver Ticketed After Route 59 Crash Leaves One Critical
A garbage truck driver has been issued a total of 12 summonses following a crash that left one person in critical condition. The Ramapo Police Department Crash Investigation Unit conducted an investigation into the crash that occurred around 6:44 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 11, said Ramapo Police Lt. Chris Franklin. Driver Charged After Pickup Truck Passes Stopped School Bus In Ramapo
With the academic year coming to a close, officials from the Ramapo Police Department are imploring motorists in the area to exercise caution around schools and school buses. A marked Ramapo Police Department patrol unit was following a school bus this week when it stopped to pick up students in the area, officials said.
