Winter Outlook Predictions Released: Here's What Forecasters Expect
With the Labor Day weekend marking the unofficial end of summer, forecasters are starting to look ahead and predict what's in store for the winter of 2025. The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says heavy precipitation is expected in the areas shown in the darkest shade of green in the first image above. A round of thunderstorms is possible later in the week as a cold front pushes through, leading to a new swing in temperatures.
