Woman From Region Shot In Stomach, Suspect On Run Police in the region are searching for a suspect after a woman was found shot in the stomach at an area apartment complex. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 5 p.m., Saturday, July 15 in Building 19, of the Sleepy Hollow Apartments in Monticello. Child Under 13 Sexually Abused For Years, Man From Region Charged A man from the region has been charged with predatory sexual assault of a child following an investigation by New York State Police. Sullivan County resident Lavaun Weir, age 31, of Monticello, was arrested on Thursday, July 13, said Trooper Steven Nevel. 36-Year-Old Disappears From Hospital In Region Police in the region are asking the public for help locating a 36-year-old man last seen at a hospital where he reportedly refused treatment. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office said Matthew Russo, address unknown, has been missing since Sunday, June 18, when he was last seen at Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris in the Catskills.  Russo was wearing blue jeans and a white shirt.
