A woman was arrested for alleged felony DWI Leandra's Law in Rockland County after police received calls of a possible intoxicated driver. The incident took place around 5:40 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, when Ramapo Police responded to the call regarding the motorists on the Orange Turnpike in the Village of Sloatsburg. The caller reported that a female driver was stopped in her vehicle in the middle of Orange Turnpike blocking the traffic lane. Three Stony Point Men Busted On Gun, Marijuana Charges
Three Stony Point men, all age 20, were busted on a variety of drug and weapons charges after police spotted them sitting in a parked vehicle with smoke pouring out of the windows. Alec Norbeck, Christian Flora-Cartier and Daniel Contreras were arrested around 1:54 a.m. Friday after a Stony Point police officer observed a vehicle parked on Battalion Drive, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. Walking up to the vehicle, the officer could see smoke coming out of the windows and smell marijuana as he approached. Suspects Who Led Officer On Chase Resulting In Crash Tied To Thefts Across Three States: Police
A Philadelphia trio led Paramus police officers on a brief chase that resulted in a crash -- and then their arrests, authorities said. On Oct. 3, Paramus police officers responded to the Paramus Park Mall on a reports of three people pickpocketing and stealing, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said. Officer Brian Doughty located Michael Grantham, Kachae Jackson and Danielle Taylor, all from Philadelphia, who fled on foot from the officer into a waiting vehicle, the chief said.
