Roads Expected To Reopen In Northern Westchester Following Flooding, Hochul Says
Several busy main roads in the Hudson Valley are expected to soon reopen following a severe storm system that dropped several inches of rain and resulted in historic flooding, officials said. The expected road reopenings were announced on Wednesday afternoon, July 12 by New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who said that they will follow several days of intense repair work. 13 Orange County Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops
Nearly two dozen drivers were arrested by New York State Police troopers over the weekend in the Hudson Valley. Area residents charged were: Orange County On Friday, Oct. 18 State Police in Middletown arrested Frederick Pierce, 59, of New Windsor, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Wallkill when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. 15 Orange County Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops
New York State Police troopers removed three dozen motorists from area roadways for alleged impaired driving over the weekend. Among those charged in the Hudson Valley include: Orange County On Friday, Sept. 13, State Police in Hamptonburg arrested Edwin Seda, 42 of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Washington Street in the city of Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Police Ramping Up Patrols On Routes 32, 300, 94 After Series Of Crashes
There will be an increased police presence in the 5 Corners area of Vails Gate following a series of crashes. New Windsor Police Lt. Michael Farbent said that officers will be working to “discourage and monitor for illegal lane usage and other driving violations as part of a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program” initiative, beginning on July 30.
