After more than a year of renovations, the Garden State Parkway rest stop in Montvale has officially reopened, bringing back popular food spots and a fresh new look. Unme Salim-Beasley, the Rutgers gymnastics coach, has been placed on paid administrative leave after an investigation into her conduct, including an improper relationship with then-Athletic Director Patrick Hobbs. Eight Rutgers University football players were charged for involvement in a credit card fraud scheme with multiple victims, authorities said. Brendan R. Garden State Orchestra Saxophonist, 20, Dies In Snowboarding Accident
A 20-year-old saxophonist in the Garden State Jazz Orchestra died due to injuries sustained snowboarding at a Pennsylvania resort Thursday, reports say. Euna Shin of Piscataway suffered head injuries after falling at the Blue Mountain Resort in Lower Towamensing Wednesday, the New York Post reports. Shin was wearing a helmet and her death was ruled an accident, the article says. The orchestra remembered the Rutgers University sophomore as a "vibrant, ambitious and brilliant young woman."
