A trio of New York City police officers helped capture a 23-year-old Mahwah, New Jersey man who authorities said fled, including through Rockland County, after killing his roommate Monday night, July 12. Massive Manhunt Underway As Suspect In Fatal Shooting Flees Through Rockland
A manhunt was underway after a man was shot and killed in Mahwah, New Jersey. The suspect fled in a black Chrysler with Mississippi license plates as township police rushed to a rented home on Avenue A between Route 202 and Route 17 in West Mahwah and found the body shortly before 10 p.m. Monday, July 12. MAHWAH, N.J. -- The Ramapo Valley Road/Route 202 culvert in Mahwah officially reopened to traffic Saturday afternoon. The original date set for re-opening Ramapo Valley Road over the Darlington Brook after the project began in July was established as the end of October but various factors -- including significant utility relocation delays -- pushed the date forward. MAHWAH, N.J. -- A 71-year-old Mahwah man was charged with torching his foreclosed house. Everett Nathaniel Johnson was being held in the Bergen County Jail Friday, charged with aggravated arson with the knowledge of "danger of death or bodily injury" in Thursday night's Marion Drive fire, records show.
