Man Nabbed Fleeing State Police During Hudson Valley Traffic Stop, Cops Say A 27-year-old man was charged with fleeing a police officer after allegedly taking off at a high rate of speed during a traffic stop in the area and then crashing. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 11 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 in the town of Thompson. Man Indicted For Fatal Stabbing Of Senior Citizen In Hudson Valley Road Rage Incident A Hudson Valley grand jury has indicted a 22-year-old man for manslaughter in connection with a stabbing death during a road rage incident. Orange County resident Horace Duke, of Wallkill, was indicted on Thursday, Nov. 3 for manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon for the Sunday, Oct. 30 incident, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Crash Destroys FedEx Tractor-Trailer On Busy Roadway In Region A driver managed to escape severe injuries during a crash of a FedEx tractor-trailer. The crash took place in Sullivan County in the town of Thompson on Route 17 around 7 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 30. According to the Rock Hill Fire Department, the driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own and was immediately transported to the hospital by Mobile medic EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. The department was assisted by: New York State Police,  State Department of Transportation,  Mobile medic EMS,  Rock Hill EMS Prestige Towing.

Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Stretch Of Busy Roadway In Area A busy roadway in the area is shut down to one lane following a seven-vehicle crash including a school bus with eight students aboard. The crash took place early Wednesday, Jan. 26, on Route 17 in the Orange County town of Wallkill, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Although one lane of traffic has opened, traffic is being diverted at Crystal Run Road, Nevel said. No information regarding injuries was available at this time.
