Shoppers in the Hudson Valley who hate walking the mall or need help getting around will soon be able to rent an electric scooter or "Scoozer." Located in Rockland County at the Palisades Center in West Nyack, a four-story mall with 17 restaurants, a comedy club, and more, said the "Scoozer" program offers shoppers an innovative way to navigate the expansive center. Stop & Shop To Pioneer Doghouse For Pet-Owning Customers At Area Store
Stop & Shop will pilot a DogSpot house at an area store starting Thursday, June 6. The company based in Quincy, Massachusetts will run a 12-week test of the DogSpot house in Nassau County at the 65 Shore Road store in Port Washington. If all goes well, it then may put the doghouses in other stores, Supermarket News reported. DogSpot is a high tech app-connected dog house with temperature control, camera monitoring is lockable and self-sanitizing, where your dog can stay while you shop. Plastic bags will soon be a relic of the past at a prominent group of food stores. DeCicco & Sons Markets announced that it will be fully eliminating the single-use plastic bags in all seven of their stores within the next seven days. Most Will Buy Groceries Online By 2024, Report Says
Grocery lists, frozen food aisles and produce sections may soon be a thing of the past, according to a new report, which states that consumers are continuing a nationwide trend of going digital to purchase groceries. Food Marketing Institute is reporting that as many as 70 percent of consumers will be buying their groceries online as soon as 2024, with Americans spending as much as $100 billion - $850 per household - annually purchasing food over the Internet.
