Several people face charges after driving drunk in the Hudson Valley, including a woman who struck a sheriff deputy's vehicle, authorities said.
The arrests happened in Putnam County between Friday, April 5, and Sunday, April 7, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Monday, April 8.

Four people, including Westchester and Fairfield County residents, face various charges after they were caught driving while intoxicated in the Hudson Valley, police said.
The arrests all happened in Putnam County over both Saturday, Aug. 19, and Sunday, Aug. 20, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Deputy Suffered Severed Artery During Stabbing Incident In Putnam, Sheriff Says
The Putnam County sheriff's deputy who was stabbed while investigating a disturbance in the Town of Putnam Valley is out of surgery.
The deputy, whose name was not released, suffered a severed artery which, though repaired during the surgery, may require additional surgeries, Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. said.
The confrontation happened around 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20 in Putnam Valley on Peekskill Hollow Road.
Upon investigation of a disturbance at the residence, a male subject confronted deputies with a knife, stabbing the one deputy, Langley said.
