Route 17 will be closed eastbound between exit 126 (Route 94) and exit 129 (Museum Village Road) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29 in the Town of Blooming Grove and Village of Chester. Starting Date Set For Harriman Toll Plaza Demolition Demolition of the Harriman toll plaza on the New York State Thruway has a starting date, following the Thruway Authority’s transition to cashless tolls in the Hudson Valley. Beginning on Monday, Jan. 14, a Westchester contracting company will begin demolition in Harriman, as the state continues a $13.9 million plan to convert plazas in the region to cashless, all-electronic tolls. Chase Ends When Suspect Crashes Stolen Car Into Middletown Police Cruiser The hunt for a stolen vehicle from Allentown, Pa., ended with a chase and a crash into a Middletown Police vehicle. The series of events unfolded earlier in the week when police learned that a 2017 Nissan Altima, stolen from a Dunkin' Donuts in Allentown, might be in the Middletown area, said New York State Trooper Steven Nevel.
