19: School Goes Remote After Positive Test In Hudson Valley
Another school in the Hudson Valley was forced to revert back to remote learning after a positive COVID-19 case was confirmed. Acting Schools Superintendent Dwight Bonk issued a letter to parents on Friday, Nov. 6 cautioning that the district was made aware of a person inside the Wappingers Junior High School community tested positive for the virus. 19: Hudson Valley School Closes After Positive Case, 22 Percent Of Staff Under Quarantine
There has been a new school closure due to a positive case of COVID-19 in the Hudson Valley. The school, in Sullivan County, is the George L. Cooke Elementary School, where a staff member tested COVID positive and several other staffers are in quarantine, the Monticello Central School District announced. The New York State Department of Health is leading the investigation into a cluster of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases that were reported following a high school graduation ceremony in Northern Westchester. There have been more than a dozen confirmed COVID-19 cases after a person who recently traveled to Florida attended the Horace Greeley High School graduation and parties in Chappaqua on Saturday, June 20.
