Covid-19: NY Seven-Day Infection Rate Now At Lowest Level In Months; Latest From Hudson Valley
The seven-day rolling positive infection rate for New Yorkers being tested for COVID-19 is at its lowest in several months as the state, and Hudson Valley, continue recovering from the holiday wave of new infections.
Statewide, the positive infection rate is at 2.80 percent, the lowest since mid-November, while there are 823 COVID-19 patients in ICU, and 504 intubated with the virus, both the lowest in New York since early December.

For the first time in nearly a week, the Hudson Valley saw a downtick - however small - in its positive COVID-19 infection rate as the region reported more than 1,000 new cases for the second straight day.
According to the state Department of Health, the average seven-day COVID-19 infection rate is down to 4.66 percent on Wednesday, March 17, from 4.67 percent the day before, still the highest rate in the state, ahead of Long Island (4.49 percent), and New York City (4.15 percent).

Covid-19: Here's Latest Rundown Of Rockland County Cases By Community
There were 12 new COVID-19 fatalities reported in Rockland in the past week, though the number of active cases in the county has dipped slightly.
Rockland County health officials were reporting 2,030 2,193 active COVID-19 cases on Monday, Dec. 21, down from 2,193 on Thursday, Dec. 15.
A total of 86 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized from the virus, up from 81 last week, and there the new virus-related deaths brought the total to 739 since March.

The Hudson Valley saw another new increase in both COVID-19 cases plus the positive rate for testing, according to data released on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The positive testing rates for the last three days in the Hudson Valley is as follows:
Wednesday, Nov. 11: 3.7 percent
Thursday, Nov. 12: 3.5 percent
Friday, Nov. 13: 3.9 percent
