Man Admits To Fatal Stabbing In Monroe
An Orange County man pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the 2018 stabbing death of another man during a party.
Samuel Del Cid Hernandez, 31, of Monroe, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, April 2, for the October 2018 stabbing death of 25-year-old Louis Rivera in a hallway outside Hernandez’s apartment, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, Hernandez will be sentenced to 24 years in state prison, and five years post-release supervision, when he is sentenced on June 6, the DA's Office said.

A man who beat to death another patient at a psychiatric center has been convicted of manslaughter by a jury.
Alias Stone, aka "Billy Pugh," 54, of Orangeburg, was found guilty of one count of manslaughter in connection with the 2017 death of a fellow patient at the Rockland Psychiatric Center, said Acting Rockland County District Attorney Kevin Gilleece.
The attack took place around 5 p.m. on July 31, 2017, when Stone violently attacked Ronald Randolph, the DA's Office said.

IDs Released For Teens Charged In Death Of 15-Year-Old Who Fell From SUV
Two teens charged in the death of a 15-year-old John Jay of East Fishkill High School student who died after falling from the side of an SUV have been identified.
Anthony Puccio, 17, and Paul Mauro, 16, both of East Fishkill, are charged with second-degree manslaughter charges in the Wednesday, Dec. 12, death of Wilson Santiago, a Wappinger resident, said Anthony Parisi, bureau chief for the District Attorney's Office
Puccio is being held at the Dutchess County Jail on $200,000 bail or $400,000 bond. Parisi said he is due to appear in East Fishkill court on Jan. 2.
