Woman Refuses Breathalyzer Following DWI Arrest In Nyack

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A routine traffic stop in Nyack led to the arrest of a Rockland County woman who was allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Patrol officers from the Orangetown Police Department stopped 34-year-old Valley Cottage resident Olga Solito-Lemus shortly before 3:30 a.m. on South Highland Avenue after she was spotted committing several traffic violations.

According to police, during the subsequent traffic stop, responding officers determined that Solito-Lemus appeared to be operating her 2004 Honda while intoxicated. She proceeded to consent and fail several Standardized Field Sobriety Tests before being placed under arrest for suspicion of drinking and driving.

Once transported to Orangetown Police Department Headquarters, Solito-Lemus refused to take a breathalyzer and was subsequently charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated. She was also issued numerous uniform traffic tickets. Solito-Lemus is due to return in Nyack Court on Thursday, Oct. 12.
