Stacey Solazzo was charged with DWI, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, all felonies, on Monday around 3:15 p.m., according to police.

The arrest came after Orangetown police responded to a report of a female asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle in a traffic lane on Route 304 in Pearl River, police said.

The officers observed the vehicle, and upon speaking to Solazzo noticed the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage on her, that her eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and her speech was slurred. Solazzo consented to a number of field sobriety tests, all of which she failed, according to police.

After she was arrested for suspicion of DWI and transported back to Orangetown police headquarters, officers determined that Solazzo's driving privileges had previously been revoked in New York. She also failed a breathalyzer test, police said.

Solazzo was arraigned by Judge Pat Loftus and released on $2,500 bail. She will have to return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
