Two Men Face Charges For Fighting In Nyack Street, Police Say

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – A Nyack man is facing several charges after he was accused of fighting in the middle of a village street, Orangetown police said.

Laron Musgrove, 31, was arrested on Tuesday, May 17, for duking it out on North Franklin Street, police said.

When arrested, Musgrove was found to have a crack pipe on him, police said.

He was charged with disorderly conduct, a violation; and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.

Musgrove was sent to Rockland County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.

He is to appear in Nyack Justice Court to answer the charges on Tuesday, June 14.

Meanwhile, police also arrested a second man for fighting on North Franklin Street in Nyack the same day.

Kevin C. Porthouse, 45, of Staten Island, was charged with disorderly conduct, a violation; and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.

Porthouse posted a bail of $500 and was released.

He is to appear in Nyack Justice Court on Tuesday, June 14, to answer the charges.

Police were not able to confirm Wednesday that the two men had been involved in the same fight.
