Two Drivers Face DWI Charges After Pearl River, Nyack Arrests

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Two drivers are facing charges of driving while intoxicated after being arrested in Rockland County, Orangetown police said.

A 19-year-old driver, whom they did not identify, was arrested in Pearl River on Saturday, Feb. 6, after a rollover accident, authorities said.

He was treated at Nyack Hospital for minor injuries, charged, and released. He is due to appear in Orangetown Justice Court at a later date.

In the second case, a 28-year-old Haverstraw man was charged after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his 2000 Volkswagen in Nyack on Wednesday, Feb. 10, police said.

Anthony R. Santana was taken to Orangetown police headquarters where, police said, he failed a breath test.

He is to appear in Nyack Justice Court on Tuesday, Feb. 23, police said.
