The three were nabbed after officers patrolling Green Hedges Lane in Blauvelt as part of an investigation into a rash of car larcenies in the area, noticed a man standing in a driveway and three people nearby in a vehicle, police said.
When the man standing in the driveway noticed the police officers he fled the scene. Officers then stopped the vehicle and following an investigation found, the driver, Adam Genfound, 20, was driving on a suspended license, police said.
A continued investigation uncovered stolen property in the vehicle including credit and Social Security cards, and electronic equipment, all belonging to residents in the Green Hedges area, police said.
Genfound was charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of stolen property. The two passengers, Shehab Mahgoub, 21, and Joshua Lopez, 22, were charged with possession of stolen property, police said.
All are being held at the Rockland County jail.
