Adonis Alcime of South Nyack is charged with felony second-degree assault, misdemeanor resisting arrest, misdemeanor second-degree obstructing governmental administration, and disorderly conduct, police said.
Orangetown police said they were responding to a call for medical help for an intoxicated person, who was not involved in the incident. As police were trying to help, Alcime pushed and shoved uniformed officers, police said.
Then he flailed his arms and legs when police were trying to arrest him, causing a cut on one officer's head, police said.
He was arraigned on the charges, and ordered held on $500 bail at the Rockland County Jail, pending a 5 p.m. March 29 court date in Nyack Justice Court, police said.
