Search On For South Nyack Parolee Who Hits Pole, Causing Outage, Police Say

SOUTH NYACK, N.Y. – A South Nyack parolee is wanted in connection with a car accident and resulting power outage that occurred on Saturday, Jan. 23, according to the South Nyack-Grand View Police Department, in cooperation with the Orangetown Police Department.

Authorities are looking for 46-year-old Scott Miller, who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle south on Piermont Avenue in Nyack around 1:50 a.m. when the accident occurred.

Miller allegedly hit a utility pole with the vehicle in full view of an officer, causing a power outage and fleeing on foot, according to police.

He is a black male who is 6-foot-7 and approximately 275 pounds, and also goes by the names of Camrod Miller and Shawn Johnson, police said.
