Members of the Orangetown Police Department stopped 23-year-old Jasmine Lockwood at approximately 1:40 a.m. on Sunday night after she was spotted operating her Honda “in an erratic manner” on Route 304 while traveling through Pearl River.
During the subsequent traffic stop, officers reported that Lockwood had a smell of alcohol on her breath and that she had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. She proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests before being arrested.
Lockwood was arrested at the scene and transported to Orangetown Police Headquarters, where her breath was tested and her blood alcohol content was determined to be greater than .08 percent. She was then charged with misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Lockwood was released on her own recognizance and is due back in Orangetown Court next month to answer the charges.
