The two were arrested after midnight patrol officers responded to an anonymous call of two suspicious people inside a black pickup truck parked at 48 E. Crooked Hill Road in Pearl River, police said.

When officers arrived, they found Frank Marchionni, 25, of Nanuet, and Jason Russio, 27, of Pearl River, parked in the fire zone, police said.

Following an investigation, officers recovered 32 packs of heroin and a hypodermic needle. The men did not seem to be under the influence of drugs at the time, police said.

Both men were released on bail and are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
