Police: Man Strikes Woman In Head With Glass Object In Pearl River Dispute

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A 32-year-old Rockland County man is facing a felony assault charge after a verbal argument turned physical over the weekend.

According to police, at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, Pearl River resident Patrick Hogan got into a verbal argument with a woman, who reported that Hogan threw a glass object that struck her in the back of the head, causing a deep laceration that required treatment at Nyack Hospital.

Hogan was arrested at the scene and transported to Orangetown Police Headquarters, where he was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned and is due back in Orangetown Court on Monday, April 10.
