Shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, officers from the Orangetown Police Department were dispatched to a Blauvelt home following reports of a possible domestic dispute.
According to police, Charles Makropoulous was involved in a verbal dispute with a woman at the home, and during the argument, he threw the bowl at her, striking her in the face. During the dispute, there was reportedly two children present at the house.
At the time of the arrest, Makropoulous was in possession of a pill bottle containing three alleged Methadone pills without a prescription. Makropoulous was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted assault, a felony, and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
Makropoulous was arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Jail. He is due back in court on Wednesday, May 10.
