Philip White of Central Nyack was pulled over for a traffic violation around 7:22 a.m. on Franklin Street in the village, police said.

The arresting officer said White’s eyes were “glassy,” his speech “slurred,” and he had the odor of alcohol on his breath.

White consented to, and failed, both field sobriety and breathalyzer tests, police said.

He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said.

White is due to appear in Nyack Justice Court on March 7.
