Orangetown Police Investigating Accident Involving Car, Bicyclist

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- The Orangetown Police Department Accident Investigation Team is investigating an accident involving a car and a bicycle in Tappan.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Washington Street on Tuesday at around 4:38 p.m., police report.

The bicyclist was transported to Nyack Hospital by the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps with the assistance of the Rockland Paramedics Services, according to officials.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-3700, and ask for Sgt. Vega or Officer Johnson.
