Orangetown Police, Fire Respond To Pearl River Fire

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- An early morning fire on Monday, July 18, in Pearl River destroyed a detached garage and damaged other nearby structures on West Naurashaun Avenue.

According to the Orangetown Police Department, firefighters from the Pearl River Fire Department, the Orange/Rockland Fire Department, West Nyack, and Nayack Fire Departments responded to battle the blaze that was fully engulfed when they arrived on scene.

Although the fire did not appear to be suspicious, the Orangetown Police Department and the Rockland County Sheriff's Arson Unit are investigating to determine a cause.

Pearl River Ambulance and Rockland Paramedics also responded.
