Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot in Orangeburg on Friday, March 4, at 10:46 p.m., according to officials.
After an investigation, it was determined that the three occupants of the vehicle, identified as William J. Foley, 22, and Christopher A. Tucker, 29, of Goshen, along with Raquel A. Velazquez, 30, of Middletown, were in possession of marijuana, numerous wax envelopes containing heroin, a clear plastic baggie containing a hypodermic needle, two Alprazolam pills and two wax envelopes containing heroin residue, police report.
The suspects were arrested and taken to Orangetown Police Headquarters for processing, officials report.
The defendants were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, according to police.
The defendants are scheduled to appear in the Town of Orangetown Justice Court on Wednesday, April 6, officials report.
In addition to the other charges, Velazquez was charged with operating a motor vehicle while her license is suspended; she was also found to have an active arrest warrant out of the City of Middletown for grand larceny in the third degree, a felony, police report.
Velazquez was processed and turned over to the City of Middletown Police Department, according to officials.
