Nyack Man Charged In Car Theft Investigation

NYACK, N. Y. -- A 23-year-old Nyack man is facing a felony charge for possessing stolen property after a Orangetown police connected him to thefts from parked cars in Nyack, then reportedly found him with a stolen Visa credit card, police said.

Mark Hauser is being held at Rockland County Jail on $1,500 bail for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said. His next court date is pending, police said.

Officers were gathering a physical description of a man in a Nyack pawn shop earlier in the day on Saturday, July 2, to sell an iPhone and other items when they spotted him, police said. He was walking on the street outside the store, police said.
