Dexter Fisher, 23, was charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police stopped a car Tuesday at 1:35 a.m. on N. Franklin Street in the village after observing the driver commit a traffic violation, Orangetown police said.
During the stop the officers learned the driver did not have a license. Fisher meanwhile was a passenger in the vehicle and was found in possession of alleged cocaine, a pain medication, and marijuana, according to police.
He was transported to police headquarters, charged, processed, and released on bail. Fisher is due back in court later this month, police said.
