Jose Guardao of Brooklyn, 27, backed into the police car when he was leaving a parking spot on Artopee Way around 5:24 a.m., police said.
When officers spoke to Guardao they smelled alcohol and he had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, police added.
After failing numerous field sobriety tests, Guardao was arrested and charged with DWI. During his arrest, officers also found marijuana, so the charge of possession of marijuana was added, police said.
Once at the police station, Guardao consented to a breathalyzer test, which he failed.
He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on May 16.
