Orangetown Police officers on patrol early on Monday morning stopped Lodi, N.J. resident Jorge Garcia shortly before 1:15 a.m. after she spotted his Honda Pilot allegedly driving erratically on Route 340.
Police said that during the subsequent stop, officers observed Garcia to have “glassy eyes, poor motor coordination skills and that an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his person.” Garcia was also unsteady on his feet and unable to submit to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
Garcia was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was released on bail and is due back in Orangetown Justice Court next month to answer the charge.
