Orangetown Police Officers responded to the intersection of Main Street and Bridge Street in Nyack for a reported disturbance at about 4 a.m. It was alleged that 25-year-old Terrance Stroud of Nyack punched a 22-year-old New City man in the mouth and then punched a 21-year-old New City man in the face in separate unprovoked attacks in which both victims suffered facial injuries, Orangetown Police said.
The victims pointed out Stroud to the officers and he tried to run away when the officers approached him. Stroud was arrested and transported to Orangetown Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with two counts of assault in the third degree (misdemeanor).
Stroud was released on bail and is due to answer the charges in Nyack Justice Court on Jan. 16.
