Heroin Found On Man Passed Out Behind Wheel In Orangetown

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- A man found passed out behind the wheel of his car in Orangetown on Saturday was arrested for drug possession and other charges, Orangetown Police said.

Police responded to the intersection of Orangeburg Road and Western Highway at 3 p.m. March 12 and discovered Matthew R. Tracey, 30, of Tappan, unconscious behind the wheel. 

He failed field sobriety tests and was found in possession of one dec of heroin, a hypodermic needle and a generic Ambien without a prescription, according to police. 

Tracey was released after submitting to blood tests at Nyack Hospital, pending a March 23 court appearance.
