SPARKILL, N.Y. -- Sparkill resident Margaret Eleanor (Heinig) Dailey died on Saturday, Jan. 23. She was 98.
Dailey retired from New York Trap Rock Corporation as a telephone operator/receptionist. Prior to New York Trap Rock, she was employed by New York Telephone Company, working first in their Sparkill office, then at the Main Street office in Nyack.
She is survived by her sister Alice Huffman of Spring, Texas; children Jack of Palm Coast, Florida, Bill of Valley Cottage, New York, and Carolyn Bluffton of South Carolina; grandchildren Matthew, Meghan, Jennifer, Maureen, Kristen, Chris and Scott; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dailey was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, John "Jack" Dailey; parents Charles and Margaret Heinig; and siblings Lorraine, Charlotte and Charles.
Visiting hours will be from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway, in Nyack. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at St. Ann’s Church, in Nyack.
