Leo Everett Biedermann, 77, Of Pearl River

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Leo Everett Biedermann, 77, of Pearl River, died Sept. 23. 

He was born March 25, 1939, to Everett C. and Marie Ricker Biedermann. 

He attended Pearl River schools from kindergarten to graduation in 1957. He joined “Rockland's Own” state Army National Guard while in high school and was federalized with them during the “Berlin Crisis” in 1961 and 1962; he was honorably discharged as a sergeant when his enlistment obligation was fulfilled in 1965. 

He was an enthusiastic motorcyclist since his teenage years and was a successful dirt track and road racer in his twenties. He was an accomplished carpenter and built his own and many homes and additions during Rockland’s home building boom. He was an active member of L.U. 964 Carpenters Local for most of his career. 

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; and son, Bill and family. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Margaret R. C. Church, 115 W. Central Ave., Pearl River. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet.
