ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- Julia Daly, of Orangeburg, died on Saturday, March 26. She was 86.
Daly was born in New York City and graduated from the Grace Institute. "After raising her four children, Julia returned to the work force and became a successful executive assistant at Volvo Cars North America," according to information from the funeral home.
She is survived by her children, James, Germaine Lorenz, William and Stephen, and her grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony and Kristina. She was predeceased by her husband, James.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, at Assumma-Shankey Funeral Home, 34 N. Summit St., in Pearl River. A mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Catharine's Church, in Blauvelt. Burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery, in New Hempstead.
