NYACK, N.Y. -- Jonathan E. Townes, of Nyack, died Sept. 1. He was 40.
He attended and graduated from the Nyack Public School System. He was employed for several years at the Christmas Tree Shops in Spring Valley, N.Y.
He is survived by his mother, Francine of Nyack; father, James of Englewood, N.J.; brothers, James, Mark, Jamal and Malik; sister, Tjuana; and a host of family and friends.
A homegoing service will be conducted at noon Wednesday at St. Charles AME Zion Church, 432 Valentine Ave., Sparkill. Viewing will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
