PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- John Francis Durney Jr., of Pearl River, died Monday, Aug. 1. He was 92.
He was born April 24, 1924.
Durney worked for Lederle Labs in Pearl River for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of the AFLCIO in Pearl River.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Durney; two sons, John F. Durney III and wife Patricia and Mark T. Durney and wife Linda; grandchildren, John IV, Jaclyn, Mark Jr. and his wife Theresa and Chris Durney; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., 100 Franklin Ave., Pearl River. There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery in New Hempstead.
