NYACK, N.Y. – Gregory P. Conace, resident of Nyack died Friday, Jan. 8. He was 90.
Conace graduated from Nyack High School in 1943. He served in the United States Navy for three years during World War II and was honorably discharged. He was employed by Orange and Rockland Utilities for 40 years. He was also a member of the Nyack Legion Post 310 for 71 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Saksen and son-in-law William Saksen III. He is also survived by his brother, Frank Conace; sisters Mary Maiorano and Angie Kivlehan; grandchildren Michelle Mazzaro, Brian Palmatier, William Saksen IV and Nicole Fox; great grandchildren Nicolas, Anthony and Daniel Mazzaro; along with many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Josephine Piesco; daughter Patricia Palmatier; son-in-law Warren Palmatier; brothers Joseph and Dominick Conace; sister Theresa Conace and his companion Lois Krausser.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Anthony’s Church.
