PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Bernadette Sibon, of Pearl River, died Tuesday, Sept 27.
She was born in White Plains. She was a parishioner of St. Aedan’s Church.
As a young woman, she worked for the CEO of KLM Airlines as an executive secretary and traveled Europe. Later, she worked for the U.S. Census Bureau. When her two daughters were in their teens, she returned to school for her teaching degree. She was a special education supervisor in Sparkill, the Bronx and New Jersey. She loved to play the piano and sing classic tunes.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Kenneth Sibon; two daughters, Therese Sibon and Diane Romano; grandchildren, Kathryn Reynolds, Christopher Romano and Tyler, Amelia and Neve Parker; and great-grandchildren, Charles, Oliver and Henry.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Aedan R. C. Church, 23 S. Reld Drive, Pearl River. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
